Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to oversee various financial operations within our client's organization. This role will manage accounts payable and procurement, accounts receivable and billing, general ledger and reconciliation, inventory management and cost accounting, compliance and audit, as well as month-end close and reporting. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance process efficiency and ensure financial accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the procure-to-pay cycle in NetSuite, including managing vendor bills and scheduling payments.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing controls and coordinate with vendors to resolve billing issues.
• Manage the order-to-cash process from invoicing through collections and monitor accounts receivable aging.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in NetSuite.
• Work with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory transactions.
• Ensure financial processes adhere to company policies, GAAP, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial data with operational workflows.
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial workflows and recommend system enhancements.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of industry experience in a relevant field such as pharma or healthcare.
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP with a strong track record in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting functions.
• Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and support month-end close processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with NetSuite’s inventory and purchasing modules and their integration with the GL.
• Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical, healthcare or related environment preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colonie, NY.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Colonie,NY.
