Construction Industry - Bookkeeper

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper in Chesapeake, VA. We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting/payroll specialist with preferred experience of 1-3 years in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes efficiently.
• Process invoices and purchase orders with accuracy.
• Perform data entry tasks related to accounting and payroll.
• Utilize Quickbooks and other construction accounting software for financial management.
• Apply basic accounting principles and job costing techniques.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Sage, Viewpoint (or other construction accounting software), and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and job costing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 or 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or adequate job-related experience.
• Experience in bookkeeping and payroll.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
