Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Body-in-White (BIW) Tooling Processor to lead and support complex engineering projects within the automotive BIW domain. This role requires strong technical leadership, coordination across teams, and hands-on experience with Siemens tools and automotive standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of major and minor engineering projects.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to project teams.
- Develop product sequence sheets and process flow charts.
- Conduct and maintain time studies for operators and machinery.
- Design operator stations with ergonomic considerations.
- Coordinate resources to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Manage project timing and weld documentation.
- Facilitate collaboration between design teams, regulatory bodies, and internal departments.
- Prepare general specifications and documentation.
- Lead and support quality initiatives across projects.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
- Promote and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Siemens UG/NX for navigation and design review.
- Experience in body-in-white (BIW) engineering for light or heavy automotive applications.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- High attention to detail and structured process orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing workloads.
- Proficiency in Siemens Process Designer and eM-Planner.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and GM Standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
The work environment offers a hybrid work schedule available after 90 days for eligible positions. It features a collaborative team structure with cross-functional engineering support. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Warren, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
