Key Responsibilities
- BIM Strategy & Implementation
- Assist in developing and executing BIM strategies tailored to utility and infrastructure projects.
- Analyze project BIM requirements and propose early implementation strategies.
- Support the creation and maintenance of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Modeling & Coordination
- Model and coordinate projects at a 500 Level of Design (LOD).
- Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks; participate in coordination meetings with other trades.
- Ensure routing and clearance coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with project stakeholders to resolve coordination issues.
- Conduct site surveys and field measurements to support design and modeling accuracy.
- Prepare and revise submittal documentation and construction drawings.
- Standards & Training
- Adhere to and help enforce BIM standards and project implementation plans.
- Document and share lessons learned; contribute to internal training and onboarding sessions.
- Support the development of standard Revit families and detail libraries.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct QA/QC of BIM models and documentation.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure compliance with internal and external BIM protocols.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry; experience in electrical or utility construction is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with BIM360 and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred.
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination, shop drawings, and prefabrication workflows.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field-oriented, safety-first environment.
Education
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree or certificate in drafting, design technology, or a related field is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
