Bilingual Ophthalmic Technician

Job Description
We are seeking a bilingual ophthalmic technician who will play a crucial role in our healthcare team. You will document physician visits in the EMR system, perform work-ups after doctor visits with patients, and communicate with patients based on the documented plan provided by the doctor.
Responsibilities
- Document physician visits in the EMR system.
- Scribe for multiple physicians.
- Perform work-ups after doctor visits with patients.
- Communicate with patients based on the documented plan provided by the doctor.
Essential Skills
- Experience in patient care and EMR systems.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology and medical documentation.
- Strong data entry and typing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in ophthalmology or optometry
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a life science preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of patient care.
- High School Diploma or GED required
Work Environment
This is a high-volume clinic specializing in ophthalmology. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on clinic needs.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
