Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy clinic. This role is essential in delivering efficient, high‑quality patient care while supporting both clinical and front‑office operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately collect and document patient demographics and medical histories
• Triage patients based on presenting symptoms and urgency of care needs
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records (EMR)
• Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures as required
• Provide patient education, instructions, and support
• Schedule appointments and assist with front desk operations as needed
• Verify insurance information and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast‑paced clinic or urgent care environment
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Additional Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification, Registration, or Diploma
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Experience with appointment scheduling and patient care coordination
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with spirometry testing & phlebotomy
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Work Environment & Schedule

• Onsite position at a primary care/urgent care clinic
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime
• May require floating to other clinic locations based on operational needs

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poinciana, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Poinciana,FL.
