Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join a dynamic dermatology clinic in North Hollywood, CA. This full-time role offers the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, handling various tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect intake information, including reason for visit, medications, and basic vitals.
• Prepare patients and rooms for dermatology procedures and in-office surgeries.
• Assist providers during procedures, with comfort in handling blood.
• Perform callbacks, relay pathology results, and track lab specimens.
• Autoclave and sterilize instruments, with training provided if needed.
• Stock rooms and help maintain clinic flow.
• Rotate shared duties with the team, including autoclaving, stocking, and lab coordination.
• Cross-train to support front office coverage when needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred, though new graduates or those with externship experience are welcome as long as they are ready to learn.
• Comfortable assisting with dermatology and small in-office surgical procedures.
• Strong multitasking skills in a high-volume clinic.
• Excellent customer service and patient communication.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours.
• Team-oriented, positive, and willing to help wherever needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
• Knowledge of electronic health records and medical terminology.

This is a Contract position based out of North Hollywood, CA 91607.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
