Automotive Technician - Afternoon Shift

Join our team as an Automotive Technician, where you'll play a pivotal role in replacing and diagnosing issues on development vehicles. Collaborate closely with engineering and technician teams to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize work tickets from the engineering team for tasks such as tire changes, structure testing, and water testing.
• Collaborate with group leaders and team leads to determine task priorities and order.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles, from trucks to Corvettes.
• Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to discuss safety incidents, learning opportunities, and task check-ins.
• Complete 5-10 work tickets per day, depending on task complexity.

• Strong mechanical experience with at least 5 years in the field.
• Experience with GM vehicles and recent GM product familiarity.
• Ability to diagnose vehicle issues effectively.
• Must possess a basic mechanic tool set and have experience with high voltage systems for EVs.

• High School Diploma required.
• Dealership experience is advantageous.
• Motivated, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Open to entry-level candidates with excellent attitude and behavior.

Work primarily takes place during the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11:30 PM. The environment is collaborative, involving interaction with engineering teams and other technicians. Opportunities to work with brand new vehicles and witness the development of future products are plentiful. This is a Contract position based out of Milford, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
