Job Title: Associate Project Support Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Project Support Specialist to join our team in Reno. This role is designed to support Project Managers and the project team, specifically assisting a new Project Manager transitioning to the area. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on data center projects, providing significant job security and potential for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Track materials, project status, and issues to ensure project timelines are met.
- Communicate effectively to address and mitigate any project issues, such as missing materials, contractor performance, and gate delays.
- Maintain an issues log and use project tracking tools to monitor progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure project needs are met and timelines are adhered to.
- Provide detailed reports on project status and any delays encountered.
Essential Skills
- Experience in project tracking and schedule tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and construction management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong issues log experience and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general contracting, electrical subcontracting, engineering, or mechanical companies.
- Experience with RFIs, tracking submittals, and change orders is beneficial.
- Capability to stand firm and articulate project delays and necessary actions to subcontractors.
Work Environment
This role is on-site at the Switch Data Center located off USA Parkway. The work schedule is Monday through Saturday, approximately 6 AM to 3 PM. This is a long-term, temporary-to-hire position with opportunities for growth into a Project Manager role due to ongoing projects and expansion.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $40.86/hr.
