Job Description
This role is designed for an Assistant Project Manager aiming to grow into a Project Manager position over the course of a few years.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with their projects, handling up to 3-8 at a time.
- Learn directly under the Vice President, focusing on project management and drawings.
- Help process Requests for Information (RFI) and Change Orders.
- Manage and interact with subcontractors effectively.
- Learn to prepare takeoffs and estimates.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and engage in client-facing activities.
- Maintain strong communication skills.
- Promote a team mentality.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in construction management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to successfully complete a two-round interview, with the first round via Teams and the second in-person on-site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in construction management or an engineering-based field.
- Previous experience and familiarity with construction sites.
Work Environment
This position requires working five days on-site or in the office. The company is family-owned, now in its third generation, fostering an incredible family atmosphere. The office consists of a ambitious team, with employees in their late 20s to early 40s. The work culture is characterized by minimal micromanagement, providing lots of autonomy. This is a Contract position based out of East Orange, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
