Job Description
We are seeking an Intern Architect/Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will initially support a large retail program with the opportunity to expand into various commercial projects. This role offers a comprehensive project experience from conception to completion, including tasks in design, construction administration, and project management. You will also coordinate with consulting engineers.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule project tasks to efficiently use resources and avoid wasted effort, while communicating potential conflicts to the project lead.
- Adhere to daily schedules and directions provided by the Job Captain, Project Manager, or Project Director.
- Maintain a running list of project questions for review and resolution by the project lead.
- Complete drafting assignments with a high degree of technical skill, quality, accuracy, and speed.
- Collaborate with internal departments and teams as directed by the project leadership.
- Utilize CADD, Photoshop, and 3D rendering programs to develop conceptual schematic materials.
- Follow firm’s office standards for production drawings and ensure quality assurance by checking and correcting work prior to release.
- Communicate effectively by advising the project lead of any questions, problems, or necessary changes and informing team members of specific changes as directed.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited school.
- 1-3 years of experience working for an architectural firm, preferably in retail or commercial sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills and ability to self-motivate and organize.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Revit is a plus.
- Rendering or Photoshop experience is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt and work within a flexible and employee-friendly environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
