What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Residential Specialist position at Project Hope for the Homeless?
To review the staff log, incident reports, and progress notes of family shelter guests prior to opening door to guests at 1:00 p.m. weekdays and 2:00 p.m. weekends;
To prepare the daily log of expected family shelter guests for the next shift;
To keep a daily log consisting of the date, name of staff and volunteers on duty, staff arrival and departure time, number of expected guests, number of actual guests, names of shelter guests, record the visiting facilitators and the chores;
To keep daily objective progress notes on each shelter guest including name, date, issues discussed, affect, and overall progress for that day;
To download copy of charts of shelter guests including background information, general release, HMIS release, rules of conduct, needs assessment, goal plan, referrals, and progress notes, photo identification, proof of TB results, verification of goals, background check results, brief narrative, safety/self-care plan and medical assessment;
To complete VISPDAT as needed for possible housing subsidy;
To keep daily notes in staff log including any special announcements, unusual incidents, goal reviews, and notes on overall site operations;
To record infractions if applicable;
To complete an incident report in the event of an unusual occurrence (such as medical or psychiatric emergency, warnings, or an eviction);
To maintain order and organization of all client files and other written resources;
To complete maintenance requests as needed and copy E.D./Property Manager;
To complete aftercare exit forms; To complete the Welcome Home request forms at time of guest transition;
To complete the income verification form for JFS and submit dates stayed that accompanies it.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $19.57 - $19.77 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
