Job Description

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and technically proficient architect with demonstrated capabilities in design and production. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and collaborative design environment, working on a diverse range of public and developer building types. Projects include housing, K-12 and higher education facilities, public and governmental work, community buildings, athletic facilities, and interiors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful results through effective project management techniques.
• Supervise the production of design and contract documents.
• Lead the design team, coordinating all staff to meet project goals, objectives, and schedule.
• Establish and monitor project budgets to ensure profitability.
• Manage and review the performance of the design team.
• Interface with and manage relationships with design consultants, owner representatives, public officials, and review officials.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews of project documents.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD architecture.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in architecture.
• Public sector background is essential.
• Ability to take projects from start to finish and understand building construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Architecture license or registration is a plus.
• Full AutoCAD proficiency.
• Ability to take direction and work independently; self-starter.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team dynamic.
• Effective communication skills in a small office environment.
• Experience in K-12, commercial, healthcare, public works, educational projects, and retail.
• Bachelor or Masters of Architecture degree preferred.
• LEED© accreditation is a plus.
• Strong work ethic with commitment to design quality, client services, and attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver effective presentations and run project meetings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet fast-paced project demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Union City,NJ.
