Job Description
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and technically proficient architect with demonstrated capabilities in design and production. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and collaborative design environment, working on a diverse range of public and developer building types. Projects include housing, K-12 and higher education facilities, public and governmental work, community buildings, athletic facilities, and interiors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure successful results through effective project management techniques.
- Supervise the production of design and contract documents.
- Lead the design team, coordinating all staff to meet project goals, objectives, and schedule.
- Establish and monitor project budgets to ensure profitability.
- Manage and review the performance of the design team.
- Interface with and manage relationships with design consultants, owner representatives, public officials, and review officials.
- Assist with quality assurance reviews of project documents.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD architecture.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in architecture.
- Public sector background is essential.
- Ability to take projects from start to finish and understand building construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Architecture license or registration is a plus.
- Full AutoCAD proficiency.
- Ability to take direction and work independently; self-starter.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team dynamic.
- Effective communication skills in a small office environment.
- Experience in K-12, commercial, healthcare, public works, educational projects, and retail.
- Bachelor or Masters of Architecture degree preferred.
- LEED© accreditation is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with commitment to design quality, client services, and attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver effective presentations and run project meetings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet fast-paced project demands.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
