A&E / Civil Project Engineer

Join a dynamic and progressive engineering firm looking for a talented engineer or design professional to execute various civil-site engineering and site planning tasks. This includes infrastructure layout, grading plans, roadway plans and profiles, utility layout and coordination, and erosion control associated with land/site development projects across diverse sectors. We seek individuals who not only enjoy hands-on work but are also eager to manage projects from feasibility assessment through to the issuance of building permits, maintaining communication with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from commencement to completion, ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop comprehensive site plans including layouts, grading, erosion and sediment control, utility plans, and more.
• Manage civil-site development projects from start through final permit approval independently.
• Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with efficiency.
• Perform computer-aided design for site development components such as grading, utilities, infrastructure layout, and stormwater management.
• Possess or develop knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical design principles.
• Review and perform quality assurance/control of tasks completed by other engineering and technical staff.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers and drafters in site development design and drafting principles.

• Proficiency in computer drafting software, including AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience managing site development projects at a holistic level.
• Ability to design all aspects of site development, including grading and stormwater management.

• Experience in telecommunications and tower engineering is advantageous.
• Knowledge of A&E and civil design principles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
