Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Overview

Our client, a leading employee-owned engineering firm specializing in electrical power distribution, industrial control systems, and advanced technology solutions, is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to support the design of industrial and commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, substations, automation, PLC/SCADA, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a BSEE, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment. This role includes construction support, system commissioning, technical studies, and occasional travel to customer sites, with experience in engineering software and construction documentation preferred. This full-time position is located in Bellevue, WA.

Pay range:$75,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities:

• Design industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Develop medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems and equipment.
• Support the design of primary and secondary unit substations.
• Design UPS, emergency, and standby power generation systems.
• Develop power monitoring and lighting system solutions.
• Perform short-circuit, load flow, relay coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Design motor control systems and electrical control solutions.
• Develop data, networking, and communication system designs.
• Design fire alarm, security, and auxiliary systems.
• Create PLC and SCADA system designs and support software development.
• Support process, machine, and material handling system automation projects.
• Design and integrate instrumentation systems.
• Review equipment submittals and respond to construction RFIs.
• Assist with construction support activities and project closeout documentation.
• Travel to customer sites to evaluate existing conditions, coordinate installations, commission systems, and provide technical support.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong follow-up and task management abilities.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and client badging requirements.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
• Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates preferred.
• Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities preferred.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu and PDF document management preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering software such as SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, SEL acSELerator, AGI32, or similar tools preferred.
