Company Description: ACS Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.
Job Summary: Execute all painting jobs. Operating conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal products, enclosure and other types of surfaces. Able to apply technical knowledge of all painting processes and has acquired expertise in cleaning, masking, sandblasting, priming and painting of metal enclosures.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Mix paint and other components according to specifications
- Paint surfaces according to instructions using Paint Pots
- Proper use of Mil gauge
- Clean up of all equipment including pots and spray guns
- Tape off areas as needed
- Clean and prep area to ensure proper adherence
- Excellent attention to detail and a good work ethic
- Consistently meet deadlines
- Perform quality work
- Lead good housekeeping and 5S (Visual Management)
- Insures all paint equipment remains in proper operating conditions
- Provide touch up on painted units when needed
- Insure adherence to proper preventative maintenance
- Practice working in a safe environment and enforces all company safety policies
- Willing to travel to jobs sites as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills
- General cleaning in the area
- Obey the safety standards of ACS and follow local, state, and federal regulations
- Responsible for any other tasks that may arise assigned by supervisor
Work Environmental & Physical Demand:
- May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
- Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights (ladders, skyjacks and top of enclosures) and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
- Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1-year proven, Industrial Painting Experience
- Experience with Graco ProMix 2kS and 2KE systems (or equivalent)
- Experience with applying primer, top coat and non-slip surfaces
- Able to work from scissor/skyjack lift
- Ability to learn operational software
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
- Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
