Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Compliance Specialist to manage customer-facing customs documentation activities, primarily Certificates of Origin (CoO) and related trade compliance requests for automotive finished goods. The role involves coordination with internal global trade teams and external customers to ensure accurate, timely processing of trade documentation in compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary customer contact for all trade-related document requests, especially Certificates of Origin (CoO)
- Review and process customer solicitations for CoOs for finished goods
- Analyze customer part numbers and map them to internal systems (SAP, GSD, DUNS)
- Coordinate with Global Trade Operations & Compliance teams for classification and documentation support
- Maintain and update tracking records for all customer requests and certificate status
- Handle cross-reference requests between customer and internal part numbers
- Assist in loading and managing data in customer trade portals
- Route HTS classification queries to relevant internal teams
- Ensure timely follow-up on pending or incomplete documentation
- Maintain compliance with trade regulations, safety, and company policies
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of experience in global trade, customs compliance, supply chain, or brokerage
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP
- Knowledge of trade agreements (USMCA, CAFTA, etc.)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $45 - $50
