Procurement & Category Management Specialist – Midstream Operations
Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Procurement & Category Management Specialist to lead category strategies, contracting, supplier management, and commercial execution for Midstream Operations. This role will drive value through strong stakeholder partnerships, effective commercial strategies, and consistent deployment of procurement processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Procurement Leadership
- Develop, execute, and manage category management strategies for Midstream Operations.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and implement complex, long-term agreements.
- Ensure consistent deployment of procurement standards, processes, and operating systems.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Drive cost management, contract compliance, and strong commercial controls.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Act as the primary PSCM interface for Midstream Operations leadership.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align priorities and ensure operational continuity.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with local suppliers, fostering continuous improvement and improved safety performance.
- Lead supplier performance reviews, address service-level issues, and resolve disputes.
- Oversee supplier onboarding, contract reviews, audits, and follow-up actions.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Lead regional supplier and contract management activities, ensuring compliant procurement transactions.
- Support investigations, audits, and performance evaluations while ensuring timely closure of findings.
- Partner closely with operations teams to deliver value contribution aligned with key business metrics.
- Promote efficiency and continuous improvement across the procurement value chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Multiple years of experience in Procurement & Supply Chain Management supporting Midstream or Upstream operations (preferred).
- Proven expertise in category strategy, sourcing, contracting, supplier risk management, and contract execution.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent project management capability and experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proficient in procurement systems such as Ariba, SAP, Open Invoice, and tools like Excel and Access.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines, cultures, and geographies.
- Experience with programming or understanding economic impacts on oilfield categories is an advantage.
Salary : $45 - $55
