What are the responsibilities and job description for the Category Manager position at CROSBY ENERGY SERVICES?
The Category Manager IV will support procurement lifecycle activities for assigned categories and basin operations, including rotating equipment and labor. This role works closely with PSCM, operations, engineering, and suppliers to support business needs, contracts, supplier rate compliance, cost evaluations, and supply reliability.
Responsibilities include maintaining price books and open contracts, supporting RFPs, drafting agreements and amendments, tracking commercial updates, assisting with IFRS 16 reporting, monitoring market conditions, and ensuring procurement policy compliance. The role also involves vendor management, cross-functional communication, and the use of tools such as Monday.com, CLM, OpenInvoice, Enverus RFx, and AI-supported solutions
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and execute category management and contracting plans for assigned Midstream categories.

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage complex, long-term agreements.

Ensure PSCM standards, processes, and operating systems are consistently applied across all category work.

Identify supply chain risks and implement proactive mitigation and cost-management strategies.

Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to improve safety, operational performance, and efficiency.

Conduct supplier performance reviews, resolve service-related issues, and facilitate continuous improvement.

Lead or support regional contract management activities including onboarding sessions, audits, and performance oversight.

Coordinate PSCM involvement in supplier investigations and ensure timely closure of findings.

Partner with Operations leadership to maintain business continuity and deliver measurable value contributions.

Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding category strategy, performance, and commercial activity.
