The Production Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and is a key member of the Ross & Wallace Paper Production Management team. Supported by the Production Scheduler, the Supervisor leads hourly production staff, providing front-line guidance and direction to ensure excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring employees complete their tasks efficiently, and fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
This position is for the Night Shift which is Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm - 3:00am. This shift and hours can and will change due to business demands, including working Fridays.

How you'll make an impact:
- Supervise and lead hourly production staff, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Promote accountability by setting clear expectations, addressing performance issues, and applying disciplinary actions as needed in coordination with management.
- Drive productivity and continuous improvement by analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with the Production Scheduler and Operations Manager to coordinate staffing, production schedules, and operational priorities.
- Foster a positive and motivated work environment, ensuring employees are engaged, trained, and supported in achieving team and individual goals.
- Enforce safety regulations, GMP policies, and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance across all shifts.
- Provide regular feedback and performance coaching to employees, supporting their professional development and growth.
- Communicate effectively with cross-shift supervisors, senior operators, and management to maintain smooth operations and resolve production challenges.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or management team.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Extensive experience in manufacturing principles and practices, with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Prior manufacturing experience in a paper conversion or high-volume related industry strongly preferred.
- Paper conversion and flexographic printing experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Business-minded professional with demonstrated ability to provide leadership, guidance, and direction in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to grasp products.
- Ability to work at a rapid pace.
- Climbing and other consistent physical activity required.
