A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE As a Data Entry & Pre-Underwriting Agent, you sit at a critical compliance and accuracy checkpoint in the funding lifecycle. You are responsible for validating identity, banking, and entity records; reviewing bank statements and debt sheets; completing credit checks; and ensuring contracts are built accurately and released within a strict 30-minute SLA. WHAT YOU'LL DO Contract SLA Management Release contracts within 30 minutes of request. Confirm whether balances must be calculated before contract release. Escalate to the underwriter or leadership when clarification is required before sending. Identity and Banking Verification Verify EIN details against internal records. Confirm Driver's License is valid and current; request updated identification if expired. Ensure merchant name in Salesforce matches government-issued ID exactly. Validate voided cheque against submitted bank statements and confirm it is acceptable for funding. Enter and double-check banking information, including account and routing numbers. Confirm bank statement name and voided cheque details match the funding entity, including DBA formatting where applicable. Bank Statement and Debt Sheet Analysis Review bank statements to determine whether the merchant meets minimum monthly deposit thresholds. Check that accounts are not consistently negative and that sufficient funds are present. Identify MCA deposits and payments, noting amount and frequency. Enter data from client-provided debt sheets accurately into Salesforce. Calculate Estimated Monthly Average based on 3 months of deposits minus MCA deposits, divided by 3. Entity and Public Record Validation Search entity name and variations in OpenCorporates and verify entity status is Active. Notify the broker and tag required stakeholders if the entity is inactive. Confirm spelling matches Secretary of State records exactly in Salesforce and that state of incorporation aligns. Identify and document branches or associated entities in other states. Download and upload Secretary of State or OpenCorporates filings to Salesforce if missing. Entity and Portfolio Cross-Reference Checks Review other owner accounts in Salesforce and add them to the entity list. Cross-reference prior contracts and UCC data; check for other MCA contracts on file. Review for additional DBAs, entities, or owners across existing records. Pre-Send Research and Risk Review Locate and add entity websites to Salesforce. Search for additional DBAs, locations, and related businesses using approved online sources. Search for lawsuits using entity and merchant name variations. Review news articles or public information for relevant risk findings. Contract Building and Documentation Build and review contracts accurately in PandaDoc. Verify physical addresses using approved sources such as websites, Yelp, Google, prior contracts, or Google Earth when necessary. Add all discovered DBAs to the contract and confirm mailing address accuracy. Ensure owner names match government-issued ID exactly, including middle initials and suffixes. Confirm the correct counter-signer assignment before release. Escalate documentation discrepancies before contract release. A BIT ABOUT YOU Must-Haves Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Able to work under strict 30-minute SLA requirements without sacrificing precision. Experience reviewing bank statements, legal entity documentation, debt sheets, or financial records. Typing speed of at least 45 WPM. Knowledge of Google Suite and Salesforce or a similar CRM platform. Strong research and investigative skills using public records, online sources, and business information platforms. Excellent oral and written English skills, including the ability to decipher handwritten forms. High standards for compliance, data integrity, and accuracy. Analytical and critical thinking skills, with basic mathematics required. Comfortable escalating issues promptly when documentation discrepancies arise. Good-to-Haves Background in finance, accounting, lending, underwriting support, merchant funding, banking, or financial operations. Experience using OpenCorporates, CLEAR, LinkedIn, public records, or similar research tools. Experience building or reviewing contracts in PandaDoc or similar document management tools. Experience working with Salesforce records, funding documents, UCC checks, or entity verification. Exposure to compliance-sensitive data entry, pre-underwriting, KYC, KYB, fraud review, or risk review processes. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Contracts are released consistently within the 30-minute SLA with full documentation accuracy. Productivity, accuracy, and efficiency metrics are consistently met. Funding errors related to identity, banking, or entity verification are prevented. Clients and internal stakeholders provide strong feedback on accuracy and responsiveness.
