What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admin / Caregiver Co-Ordinator position at Acorn Home Care?
Location: San Diego, CA 92128 (in-person)
Job Type: Part-time (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 1pm)
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)
We're seeking a dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented individual who excels in fast-paced settings and enjoys helping our caregivers and clients.
Responsibilities
- Handle calls, emails, and general office operations
- Perform clerical work and compliance(filing, scanning, copying, document preparation)
- Support staff communication, scheduling, and client coverage
- Maintain accurate records and professional correspondence
- Assist with Caregiver Hiring and onboarding
- Answer calls from Caregivers, Clients, Leads and Referrals and provide the best support
- Assist management with special projects and additional office tasks
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of prior experience as a Caregiver, HHA, PCA, CNA, or CHHA
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes locally if required (mileage can be covered)
- Ability to pass a LiveScan background check
- Current TB test (or willingness to obtain post-hire)
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Emails, Texts, etc.
- AxisCare experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure
- Professionalism, dependability, and adaptability
- Basic math skills (decimals, fractions, percentages)
- Commitment to client confidentiality and privacy
