Purpose:
Assists elders with their daily living activities. Provide personal care and companionship.
Job Description:
· Administer bedside and personal care, such as ambulation and personal hygiene assistance.
· Help patients with daily tasks such as personal grooming and meal preparation.
· Prepare and maintain records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to the Client Care Manager / Staffing Department.
· Perform housekeeping duties, such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and running errands.
· Accompany Client to appointments or errands
· Instruct and advise Clients on issues such as household cleanliness, utilities, hygiene and nutrition.
Job Qualifications
· Valid CPR / First-Aid Certification
· Current TB Test
· Live Scan - Fingerprint Clearance
· Must have 5 hours training or more on Basic Health and Safety Training, Emergency Procedures, Liabilities of Caregiving
· Highly professional with a friendly and cheerful personality
· Excellent human relations, reliable and responsible
· Excellent communication skills
· Registered to perform home care services in the State of California (Registered Home Care Aide)
Work Experience
· Preferably one year experience in a home, facility or assisted living.
Education
· High School diploma or GED
