Maintenance Automation Technician
$35 - $43 p/h

2nd / 3rd shifts available - 8 hours
We are looking for someone:
- Experienced in electrical, pneumatic, and automation, with a base PLC knowledge / troubleshooting.
- 3 years of repair and troubleshooting experience with high-speed packaging equipment.
The primary responsibility of coordinating their shifts Maintenance Department daily activities. This includes working with the Maintenance Planner for work order execution. In addition, ensuring the execution of the preventative maintenance program and providing trouble-shooting support with the shifts primary maintenance mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Complete work orders related to machine repairs and or preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment and repair machines
- Design, engineer, and fabricate machine parts as required
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled
- Reduce downtime of machines to support production demand
- Change over machines to other products
- Prioritize and complete assignments on time
- Communicate clearly and in collaboration with Engineering Department
- Meet with production leads and supervisors regarding operation of machines
- Continuous training of machine operators and trainers
- Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of machine repair experience in Production setting.
- Experienced in electrical, process, pneumatic, and automation, with a base PLC knowledge / troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation equipment and robotics
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to read mechanic and pneumatic drawings.
- Prior experience performing PM.
- Motivated, organized, eager to learn and possess a positive attitude toward the job.
- Excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions as well as provide directions on step by step repair process.
