Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support daily operations and ensure our properties remain safe, clean, and well-maintained. This role involves a mix of building maintenance, janitorial support, and general facility upkeep, along with responding to service requests and assisting the Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine building maintenance and repairs
· Handle basic plumbing issues and minor repairs
· Support janitorial services and general cleanliness
· Maintain interior and exterior areas, including landscaping and weeding
· Conduct inspections and report findings to the Facilities Manager
· Assist with unplanned and preventive maintenance tasks
· Respond to workplace service needs in a timely manner
· Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies
· Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and use required PPE
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· 3–5 years of general facility maintenance experience preferred
· Basic knowledge of electrical systems
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· High attention to detail and ability to work independently
· Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Self-motivated and goal-oriented
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Comfortable standing, sitting, bending, and crawling as needed
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Additional Requirements
· Willingness to work overtime as needed.
