Ideal Candidate Profile: Seeking a PMP Certified Senior Project Manager with strong experience managing complex, multi-stream technology projects in a matrixed environment. Projects typically require project team engagement across various technical functions including information security, infrastructure (cloud and on-premise), integrations/system interfaces, data conversion, GIS, and others. The project manager will work in a matrixed environment with project team members assigned by the functional managers as well as vendor solution providers. Candidate should have exposure to business analysis practices, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement. The candidate is adept at leading cross-functional teams across infrastructure, security, integrations, and data domains while coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders. They possess a solid understanding of SDLC, PMBOK methodologies, and project governance, ensuring effective control of scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Candidate must provide superior customer service through concise and timely communications, strong execution, a caring attitude, and a sense of urgency based upon customer and sponsor project priorities.
This position involves working closely with business representatives to ensure that the technical solutions being developed are in line with the business needs and articulated appropriately to satisfy the needs of the business
Candidate must understand the role of business process as described by business representatives that inform solution requirements.
Candidate is capable of applying basic techniques to capture business process flow using a process flowchart and standard RASCI model templates.
Candidate should be experienced with application of analytical and estimation techniques with standard Microsoft tools as needed in order to assemble, propose, and quantify business cases and process improvement costs, if encountered. Proactively seeks guidance to assemble figures when guidance is needed.
Candidate will apply experience with decision-making processes to prioritize and work with the project customer to bring closure to matters affecting achievement of project scope
Candidate seeks timely, efficient, and proactive solutions that support business needs.
Accumulates the input of business and IT leads to present relative costs and benefits of potential actions for project leadership to decide the most appropriate path to pursue.
Candidate understands, adheres to, and uses fundamentals of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) tools, documentation, techniques and lifecycle.
Candidate applies appropriate control artifacts related to cost, risk, schedule, quality, and scope under guidance of the IST Project Management Office.
