We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and manage multiple technology projects of varying size and complexity. This role will serve as the primary project manager, overseeing project execution, requirements tracking, and light business process definition. Projects may span multiple business units and involve cross-functional collaboration across IT, security, infrastructure, GIS, integrations, and vendor teams within a matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for multiple concurrent technology initiatives, including in-flight projects
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality using PMO-defined methodologies and tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Information Security, Infrastructure (cloud/on-prem), Data, GIS, and external vendors
- Gather, track, and manage business and technical requirements ensuring alignment with business needs
- Work closely with stakeholders to define business processes and translate them into functional requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports, including schedule performance metrics (SPI)
- Facilitate decision-making processes and drive issue resolution with stakeholders and vendors
- Monitor vendor performance and manage vendor-related risks, issues, and deliverables
- Apply data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable, data-driven insights
- Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance frameworks, and PMBOK methodologies
- Communicate project updates clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support business case development, cost estimation, and process improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, business users, and external partners
Required Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
- 2 5 years of experience with Business Analysis (PBA) processes and techniques
- Experience managing projects in medium to large organizations (500 employees preferred)
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proven experience working in matrixed environments with cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with project planning, estimation, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools for project tracking and reporting
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive project outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment
- Familiarity with government or public sector operations
- Knowledge of business process modeling (flowcharts, RASCI models)
- Experience with data analysis and reporting for project performance
- Exposure to vendor management and contract negotiation support
