THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING
You’ll join a newly formed AI Center of Excellence (CoE) within a large, asset-intensive organization in the transportation and industrial services sector. The CoE was created to govern, prioritize, and deliver AI initiatives across the enterprise.
The team currently includes a small group of data scientists who are managing multiple existing initiatives. This newly created role expands the CoE’s ability to deliver, enabling more AI initiatives to move forward in parallel.

- Own AI initiatives from concept through delivery
- Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and ask clarifying questions
- Design and build AI agents and automation-focused solutions
- Write production-quality code across multiple contexts (Python, APIs, data workflows)
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications using REST APIs
- Perform data manipulation and validation as needed to support AI use cases
- Document solutions and support production readiness
- Operate as a versatile, “jack-of-all-trades” contributor who can adapt across technical and business needs
- Strong coding skills (Python and general software/data engineering fundamentals)
- Experience integrating with enterprise applications
- Comfort working with REST APIs
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Outgoing, collaborative style with confidence engaging business users
- Ownership mindset and ability to lead initiatives independently
- Experience building AI agents preferred but not required
- Cloud experience (Azure or similar) is a plus, but not mandatory
- No requirement for a traditional data science background
