What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Human Resources position at AccruePartners?
THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING
- A privately held, high-growth, multi-entity platform operating across both motorsports services and advanced manufacturing environments.
- The organization is in the midst of a significant evolution, transitioning from an entrepreneurial, founder-led model into a more scaled and integrated business. With approximately $50M in current revenue and a targeted path to $200M over the next four years, leadership is actively building out shared services across finance, HR, operations, and go-to-market functions.
- The business operates two distinct brands with unique customer segments and cultures, which will remain independent from a go-to-market perspective while being supported by a centralized back-office platform.
- As part of this next phase, the company is planning a full operational consolidation to the greater North Carolina (Mooresville) area, bringing teams together under one roof while preserving brand identity.
- Opportunity to build and lead the Human Capital function from the ground up within a scaling platform
- Direct partnership with executive leadership and ownership to shape the future organizational model
- Highly visible role influencing organizational design, talent strategy, and culture
- Dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with strong leadership alignment and investment in growth
- Mooresville, NC - On site
- This is not a traditional HR leadership role. The organization is undergoing a complex, multi-layered transformation, including:
- Consolidation of operations into North Carolina
- Integration of multiple business units under a shared platform
- Rapid organic growth and preparation for future acquisitions
- Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, responsible for designing and building the organization for scale. This includes:
- Architecting organizational structure across multiple entities
- Establishing career frameworks to attract, retain, and develop talent
- Supporting leadership in navigating change, growth, and cultural alignment
- Building a human capital strategy that enables long-term scalability
- Shift the organization from a reactive, compliance-driven HR model to one that:
- Empowers leaders to manage their teams effectively
- Builds leadership capability across the organization
- Embeds accountability, performance, and ownership within the business
- Success in this role will directly impact the company’s ability to retain talent, scale operations, and execute on its growth strategy.
- Proven experience leading human capital strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning within a multi-entity, high-growth, or evolving environment.
- Track record of building HR infrastructure from the ground up and leading change through periods of transformation such as consolidation, integration, or rapid scaling.
- The ideal candidate is an up-and-coming VP or Senior VP-level leader who has seen what “good looks like” at the next stage of scale and can apply that perspective in a hands-on, build-oriented environment.
- Equally comfortable operating as a strategic partner to executive leadership while also executing tactically when needed.
- Strong leadership development mindset is critical. Ability to coach and empower managers to take ownership of employee engagement, performance, and team effectiveness.
- Experience working in entrepreneurial, privately held, or founder-led businesses is highly valued, particularly in environments that require balancing multiple cultures, brands, or business models under a unified structure.
- Comfortable operating in a fluid, less structured environment, bringing the right level of process, discipline, and accountability over time.
