- Own the preparation and authorship of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
- Play a direct role in maintaining audit quality and supporting the organization’s bond rating
- Partner closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders across departments
- Lead key components of financial reporting, including audit schedules, reconciliations, and compliance documentation
- Contribute to process improvements within a growing organization experiencing continued expansion
- 5 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to audit preparation or external audit support
- Experience working with auditors, building workpapers, and understanding audit flow end-to-end
- Knowledge of GAAP required, exposure to GASB highly preferred
- Background in government, not-for-profit, or public accounting environments strongly aligned
- Strong Excel skills with experience in reconciliations, lead schedules, and financial analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively and operate in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment
