Sales Administrator

The Sales Administrator plays a key role in supporting the Sales and Operations teams by tracking job activity across all regions, analyzing performance data, and delivering actionable insights into the overall health of sales operations. This position serves as a critical bridge between Sales, Operations, and Accounting, ensuring accurate forecasting, clean job handoffs, and strong financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has experience in the construction or low-voltage industry, is comfortable working with ERP systems such as Sage 300, and can translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain accurate records of jobs starting in each region.
- Monitor regional sales activity, backlog, and pipeline health.
- Analyze trends in job volume, contract value, and regional performance.
- Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, presenting findings in a concise and compelling manner tailored to senior-level audiences.
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts using historical data, current pipeline, and regional inputs.
- Monitor performance metrics to ensure sales and operational initiatives are on track and achieving intended outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Operations, and Accounting during job handoffs.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate job setup, billing alignment, and revenue tracking.
- Support clean transitions from sold jobs to active projects within Sage 300 and related systems.
- Assist with data cleanup, reporting accuracy, and system maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in sales analytics, sales operations, or a related analytical role.
- Experience in construction and/or low-voltage environments strongly preferred.
- Sage 300 experience preferred, particularly with job setup, job costing, or reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with reporting and forecasting models.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
