The Clinical Manager supports staff development, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and promotes organizational growth through professional practice and community engagement. Participates in on-call coverage as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage patient care operations, including admission assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing education and guidance.
- Chair interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care, resolve clinical issues, and align goals with patient and family needs.
- Monitor compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards; participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Oversee resource management, departmental budgeting, and cost-effective service delivery.
- Promote staff competency through orientation, continuing education, and in-service training programs.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and partner organizations, representing the agency with professionalism and integrity.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in medical, oncology, home health, or hospice settings.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated clinical judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks required for patient care and home visits.
- Travel required 50–75 percent of the time, with occasional overnight travel.
- Work performed in patient homes, healthcare facilities, and office settings, with potential exposure to communicable diseases.
- Compliance with OSHA Category 1 standards, including the use of PPE and adherence to infection control protocols.
