Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep-cleaning services, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, carpet shampooing, window cleaning, and waste removal.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned buildings, amenities, and common areas.
- Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed and notify the Supervisor when additional supplies are required.
- Safely handle, store, and use cleaning products in compliance with OSHA standards and hazardous material guidelines.
- Remove trash and debris from the property and assist with emergency cleanup efforts when necessary.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively after receiving appropriate training.
- Inspect assigned areas daily and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or cleaning deficiencies to the Supervisor.
- Complete assigned work orders and scheduled tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain janitorial equipment and tools in proper working condition.
- Follow all company safety policies and security procedures while performing duties.
- Work cooperatively with maintenance personnel and other team members to support overall property operations.
- Strip, wax, buff, and burnish floors as needed.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented attitude when interacting with residents, guests, vendors, and coworkers.
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and fixtures.
- Sweep and mop restroom floors.
- Restock consumable supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages to the Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior custodial, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces when required.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights up to approximately three feet above ground level.
- Ability to reach, grasp, handle, and manipulate tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Ability to quickly navigate throughout the property to respond to operational needs and emergencies.
- Ability to complete required reports, forms, and documentation accurately.
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations as needed.
