Overview
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate In-Home Aide to support a client in Albany, Missouri through the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS) In-Home Services Program. The client requires assistance with daily personal care tasks and safe transfers using a Hoyer lift. This part-time position provides 5.5 hours of care per day, 2 days per week, offering consistent, meaningful work in a supportive one-on-one environment. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Safely operate a Hoyer lift for client transfers
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and fall-prevention techniques
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, cleaning, organizing)
- Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Offer companionship and maintain a supportive, respectful environment
- Follow the client's care plan and DHSS in-home service guidelines
- Document services performed and report any changes in condition to supervisor
Experience
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to pass Missouri DHSS background screenings
- Must be registered or willing to register with the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR)
- Prior in-home care or CNA experience preferred, but not required
- Must be able to lift, transfer, and assist safely according to DHSS standards
- Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
