What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Access II Independent Living Center?
We are currently hiring compassionate and reliable Personal Assistants to provide individualized support to children, teens, and young adults in their homes and communities. This role involves helping individuals strengthen their independence through community engagement, as well as assisting with daily living activities such as dressing and grooming. Located in the Chillicothe area. This specific job will be before and after school.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist individuals in participating in community activities and building social skills.
- Support dressing, grooming, hygiene, and other daily living needs.
- Encourage and reinforce positive behaviors and personal growth.
- Follow individualized care and support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Experience working with individuals with mental health, behavioral, or developmental needs (preferred).
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow guidance from supervisors.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if required for travel).
