ACCESS Family Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our integrated behavioral health team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across our communities.

As a PMHNP, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients with mental health conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Missouri APRN licensure (or eligibility for Missouri licensure).
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in clinic setting

Preferred

• Experience working in community mental health, integrated care, outpatient psychiatry, or rural healthcare settings.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience treating patients across the lifespan.
