Medical Assistant (MA) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Behavioral Health Department – Joplin Clinic
Location: Joplin, MO
Schedule: Monday – Friday | No weekends
Position Summary
Our Joplin Clinic is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing Behavioral Health team. This role plays a vital part in supporting providers and delivering quality care to patients in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care, exams, and procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
- Prepare patients for visits and ensure a positive, supportive experience
- Administer medications and injections (as permitted by licensure)
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
Qualifications
- MA: Certification preferred
- LPN: Active and valid LPN license
- Previous clinical experience preferred, ideally in behavioral health or outpatient settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassion for serving patients with behavioral health needs
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday through Friday schedule
- No weekends required
