Access Family Care is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team in Cassville, Missouri. This full-time position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working in a supportive, community-focused healthcare environment.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with and serve our diverse patient population.
Position Summary
The Dental Assistant works closely with dentists and other dental team members to provide quality patient care, assist with dental procedures, maintain clinical efficiency, and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
- Take and record patient medical histories and dental information.
- Expose and process dental radiographs as permitted by certification and state regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system.
- Ensure treatment areas remain organized, stocked, and ready for patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members in both English and Spanish.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while fostering a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Dental Assistant experience preferred.
- Dental Assistant certification preferred but not required.
- Radiology certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
