Home-Based Therapist - Various Locations

TITLE: HOME-BASED THERAPIST We have positions open in: Medway Wellesley Worcester REPORTS TO: Home-Based Services Supervisor JOB GOAL: Provide direct services to students. Under the supervision/guidance from the Home- based supervisor, provide parent training in the skills necessary to maximize social, behavioral and educational functioning of their children at home and in the community QUALIFICATIONS: · Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university · At least one year experience providing ABA therapy to children. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: · Utilize the principles applied behavior analysis to provide 1:1 educational, behavioral and social services for children aged 3 – 22 in the home. · Depending on the students’ objectives, Home session might occur in the students’ home, or at other community amenities · Accompany parents on community trips as part of the child’s program · Implement programming and goals as outlined in the Parent Contract · Follow the prescribed skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols · Report to and collaborate with the direct supervisor · Connect with direct supervisor on a weekly basis or more as needed · Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with student’s individualized home programming and/or behavior reduction protocols · Model techniques and strategies for the parents so they can follow through with agreed upon goals beyond session times · Facilitate play and social goals with siblings and peers to address goals and issues · Collect data for services being implemented within the program · Provide data summaries to direct supervisor per progress reporting period, after each session or as requested · Participate in professional development opportunities throughout the year so as to Maintain and acquire technical knowledge · Have access to email and forward all/respond to email communications with direct supervisor or Home-Based Services Coordinator in a timely fashion · Follow all Covid-19 home-based protocols and report to the supervisor/Home-Services Coordinator on the family’s adherence to protocols · Such other responsibilities and duties as assigned by your supervisor
