Job Description
Position Summary: Provides training, supervision and oversight of behavior specialists, RBTs, and graduate students pursuing educational advancement in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Additionally, maintains a caseload and provides behavioral consultation services to help ACCEPT programs build capacity to serve students with low incidence disabilities.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.)
Master’s Degree required
Board Certification

3 – 5 years of experience working with children and/or young adults with special needs, preferably in a school environment
3 - 5 years experience in a leadership role
Proven ability to lead and manage staff
Strong organizational, communication and management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Conduct appropriate formal and informal assessments and interpret results for own caseload
Consult with staff regarding the needs and services of students and families for own caseload
Provide consultation and support to all ACCEPT programs
Develop strategies to implement goals and address behavioral issues in the school setting
Document and review student progress and review progress reports
Serve on Team to determine the appropriateness of ACCEPT program referrals
Consult with teams to develop goals and objectives regarding educational/behavioral needs
Conduct professional development workshops
Schedule, send meeting notifications, and run Safety Care Training (with other trainers) (complete documentation - on QBS portal and internal)
Serve as resource for staff for questions regarding BSP development and/or assessments, group contingencies, problem solve regarding restraints and de-escalation
Provide weekly individual supervision, as needed, for behavior specialists such as but not limited to newly hired Behavior Specialists
Review and approve restraint reports, as they come up, and ensure that they are sent to Administrative Assistant, to be sent to families and districts
Schedule and run group supervision meetings (monthly) and keep meeting notes
Meet regularly and as needed with the Director of Student Services for program development purposes
Assist with interviews, as needed
Evaluate Behavior Specialists for the purpose of the DESE evaluation process and document on TeachPoint
Help with Professional Development Trainings, as needed
Meet weekly with classroom teams when student has more than 1 restraint in calendar week, in charge of documentation for these meetings, and with the admin team to review restraints program wide on a monthly basis
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements
- Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about and may be required to traverse occasionally throughout the school building. The employee must also often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and perform physical restraint of a student at times of behavioral escalation. The employee is expected to lift at least 20 lbs (i.e. books, school supplies, etc.). The employee must frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and use hand strength to grasp tools. Occasionally s/he operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). The employee must be able to input information into a computer and as well as read material from a computer monitor as well as handwritten or printed matter with or without visual aids. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members in person and on the telephone. In the classroom, the employee must be able to see and hear on a continuous basis in order to ensure the safety of students as well as speak frequently to provide instruction. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to move quickly/run across even or uneven surfaces. The employee interacts with students, parents, and other staff members. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students. Work Environment: The employee will be working in a normal school environment with an acceptable level of noise.
