Primary Responsibilities:
This individual’s objective is to work within the Engineering Team to design solutions for custom engineered equipment from inquiry to design to testing to manufacturing and installation. This individual will work closely with BHS Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales Departments in the continued strategic growth of the overall organization.
• Develop products using Autodesk Inventor
• Manage new products (large or small) through development and design stages to completion
• Develop functional CAD models and effectively communicate their specifications through drawings
• Apply engineering principals to develop safe, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions
• Inspect product (post manufacturing) to ensure functionality, quality, and reliability
• Create detailed fabrication drawings for both in-house and vendor supplied parts
• Revise existing product drawings and literature to reflect changes
• Support prototype builds and testing
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve design-for-manufacturing issues
• Communicate effectively through the ERP/MRP system to deliver information to production
• Provide support in the field as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 – 4 years of design experience (specifically machine and power equipment design)
• Prior experience with 3D CAD programs required (heavy preference for Inventor)
• Familiarity with general machining and fabrication practices as well as GD&T
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
Schedule:
• M-F, 7:00am-4:00pm
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
