About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Technician to oversee production tasks, including setting up jobs and interpreting technical documents. The ideal candidate will be adept at operating multi-layer extrusion and downstream equipment, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our production floor. You will play a key role in training new team members and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate blown film extrusion equipment to meet production goals.
- Interpret production schedules, work orders, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Train new associates on safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and operational procedures.
- Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
- Adhere to all safety and quality policies to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding production schedules, work orders, and work procedures in English.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written).
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
Preferred Skills
- 3 years of blown film extrusion experience.
- Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of resins, additives, and their applications in extrusion processes.
- Experience with machine building/assembling and machine safety inspections.
- Familiarity with CNC automation solutions, injection molding machines, and extrusion machines.
