About the Role
As an EHS Site Lead, you will spearhead the development and maintenance of a world-class safety culture within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert, driving regulatory compliance and implementing proactive risk-mitigation strategies to ensure the well-being of our workforce and operational integrity.
Responsibilities- Direct the implementation of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure full adherence to OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, translating findings into actionable corrective measures that prevent future occurrences.
- Foster a culture of safety ownership by coaching teams on behavior-based safety principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage environmental compliance programs, including permit administration, waste management, and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to integrate safety protocols into daily manufacturing operations and Kaizen initiatives.
- Oversee internal and external audit processes, ensuring the facility maintains high standards for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Provide direct mentorship and leadership to site-level safety personnel to drive professional development and team performance.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience managing EHS programs within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven expertise in regulatory compliance, safety auditing, and incident management systems.
- Strong understanding of behavior-based safety programs and employee engagement strategies.
- Ability to interpret complex environmental regulations and translate them into site-specific operational procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Formal certification or deep working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
- Experience managing worker’s compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Demonstrated success in leading safety culture transformations in a matrixed organizational structure.
