What You’ll Do
- Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, strengthening, balance, and functional activities
- Help residents improve mobility and independence with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document resident progress and response to treatment
- Communicate effectively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Follow individualized treatment plans and established clinical standards
- Educate residents and caregivers on appropriate exercises, mobility techniques, and safety
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life
- Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or geriatric experience is a plus
