Parts Manager Truck & Bus Dealership
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead the parts department at our truck and bus dealership. This role is responsible for driving departmental performance, maintaining accurate inventory, and delivering exceptional support to both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership & Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the parts department
- Supervise counter staff and warehouse personnel
- Monitor performance using KPIs and manufacturer benchmarks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment (EPA/OSHA)
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members
- Identify and implement process improvements
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead with a people-first, accountability-driven approach
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
- Identify training opportunities to improve efficiency and product knowledge
- Foster strong collaboration with Service and Sales departments
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels aligned with demand
- Monitor inventory turns and adjust stocking strategies
- Manage obsolete and non-moving inventory
- Oversee cycle counts and bin accuracy
- Review lost sales and identify stocking opportunities
- Coordinate inter-branch transfers and returns
Parts Ordering & Vendor Relations
- Order parts through OEM systems and approved vendors
- Manage purchase orders, backorders, and critical part requests
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and OEM partners
Customer Support
- Provide timely and accurate support to service technicians and advisors
- Assist retail, wholesale, and fleet customers
- Resolve parts-related issues efficiently
- Partner with service teams to minimize downtime
- Support sales initiatives and promotions
Financial Performance
- Achieve departmental sales and gross profit goals
- Monitor KPIs and monthly financial performance
- Manage departmental expenses
- Ensure proper pricing and margin control
Compliance & Manufacturer Programs
- Maintain compliance with OEM standards and dealership policies
- Manage rebates, SPA requests, and program participation
- Monitor manufacturer performance metrics
