Senior Tax Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of tax experience in a CPA firm environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working with clients in the real estate, construction, and manufacturing industries, providing high-quality tax preparation, compliance, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, and trusts.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio with a strong focus on real estate, construction, and manufacturing entities, ensuring all tax filings and compliance requirements are met accurately and on time.
• Conduct tax research using reputable research tools to interpret complex tax laws and provide clear recommendations.
• Utilize CCH ProSystem fx for tax preparation and workflow management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all deliverables.
• Assist in tax planning and strategy development to optimize clients’ tax positions.
• Communicate proactively with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.
• Support the review of work performed by junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Stay current with federal, state, and industry-specific tax regulations impacting clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
• Strong experience working with real estate, construction, or manufacturing clients required.
• Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx and tax research databases (e.g., Checkpoint, Bloomberg, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA license or eligibility preferred.
