What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Bartender position at AC Hotels?
The AC Hotel Greenville, is looking for an experienced, high-energy Event Bartender to join our team in a dynamic event venue setting. This role supports a variety of events including weddings, banquets, concerts, corporate functions, and private parties. Bartenders are responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, preparing beverages efficiently, and maintaining a clean and professional bar area throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up bar stations prior to each event based on event needs and bar service package
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced environment
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, engaging, and professional manner
- Follow all alcohol service and venue compliance policies, including checking IDs
- Monitor alcohol consumption and respond appropriately to guests showing signs of intoxication
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas throughout the event
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately; follow event-specific procedures for drink tickets or hosted bars
- Assist with post-event breakdown, inventory, and restocking
- Collaborate with banquet captains, floor staff, and security to ensure smooth guest experience
- Adapt quickly to changing event dynamics and guest flow
Qualifications:
- 1 year bartending experience in high-volume events, banquets, or entertainment venues
- Familiarity with standard cocktails, beer, wine, and event-style bar packages
- Ability to work under pressure and stay organized during peak service
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification preferred
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
