What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer I (PM Shift) position at AC Hotels?

- The purpose of the Engineer I is to monitor, maintain, repair and perform preventative maintenance on hotel heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, and perform general maintenance duties.
- Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees, inspects work for completeness.
- Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.
- Prepares work schedules as necessary.
- Coordinates or installs, inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all property locations.
- Has knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including repair, maintenance and basic electric and plumbing skills. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts.
- Has mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment and has the knowledge and ability to perform a variety of general maintenance repairs.
- Has working knowledge regarding application and storage of all applicable chemicals and the OSHA standards for chemical use.
- Operate hand and power tools (drills, hoisting equipment, reciprocating saw, and pressure washing equipment); dial indicators and testing equipment for air, water balancing and control calibration.
- Read manufacturer instructions, blueprints, etc. and the ability to discern various colors of electrical wiring.

- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

- Completes Departmental, AURO Hotels and Brand standards training as assigned.
- Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
