We are seeking a skilled Electrical Journeyman to oversee and run electrical installations and maintenance on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction management, and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership abilities to supervise teams, ensure quality control, and manage project schedules effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical work on-site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations such as OSHA.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and specifications.
- Manage contracts related to electrical work and collaborate with other trades on construction projects.
- Oversee budgeting and estimating processes for electrical components of projects.
- Train and mentor team members in best practices for electrical installation and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours.
Experience
- Proven experience in the electrical field with a strong background in construction site management.
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and budgeting practices.
- Proficient in using tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical systems.
- Experience with project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 and HeavyBid is preferred.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of pipeline installations is a plus, along with a solid understanding of construction management principles.
