Responsibilities and Duties:
- General Orientation of all new employees
- Clinical Competency training and evaluation of nursing staff
- Coordination of guest educators for programs, such as IVs and Respiratory
- Implementation of education programs for Certified Nursing Assistants per the education calendar
- In-service education of all employees as needed
- Enthusiasm and eagerness to teach
- Clinical competency with basic nursing care
- Ability to work independently and anticipate educational need with motivation to start education
- Eagerness to learn new skills and participate in the Train the Trainer programs
- 1-year experience in Long-term care
- Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse
- CPR certified
- Train the Trainer program for NYS DOH Certified Nursing Assistant program
- Training for education initiatives
- Ongoing training programs
